Transportation: Taxis are readily available at the airport and hotels, but if you need car seats or want to pre-arrange transportation, contact Sandra’s Taxi and Tours. Sandy and her team are amazing, accommodating small families or large groups. Extremely responsive and reliable—mention Rani Budan from Chicago!
Family Dining: For a casual off-property dinner, walk across the street to Margaritaville at the ferry terminal. Fun atmosphere with Jimmy Buffet music—great for families.
Beach Bums: My favorite spot is Atlantis Beach West (near Coral and Royal Tower). Gorgeous water and sand. Bring $30 cash for “Famous Amos” to set up an umbrella and two chairs. Plenty of chairs available, but umbrellas are recommended for shade.
Cocktails: Enjoy fresh coconut drinks at Atlantis Beach West—$10 alcoholic, $7 non-alcoholic. Try the Bahama Mama or Piña Colada. Afterward, the coconut is chopped up and given to you to eat—delicious!
Authentic Dining: For an authentic Bahamian experience, take a taxi to the Fish Fry (~15 minutes away). Popular spots include Oh Andres (air-conditioned) and Bruno’s (balcony with views). Frankie’s Gone Bananas is also a favorite.
Booze Cruise: College-aged guests will love the Sandy Toes Booze Cruise. Book through the Atlantis tour desk in the Coral Tower—brochures and setup available.
Fitness: Yoga and spinning classes at the fitness center are free! Clean studio, excellent instructors—check the daily flyer for times.
Kids Activity: Sea Squirts is perfect for ages 3–6 ($42/hour, 30 minutes in the water). Kids feed baby stingrays, sharks, and fish. Sign up at Dolphin Cay—clients love it!
Free Movies: Atlantis has a full-size movie theater with first-run films and concessions. Movies are free—great for tweens while parents enjoy an adult night out.
